Cape Town – A video of a pupil holding a gun and chasing after another boy has emerged on social media and has left many in shock.
The incident reportedly took place in Wolmaransstad, in the North West.
In the clip, the pupil and a man are seen hitting the boy.
At one point, the man holds the boy by the collar and pins him to a fence while other school children are cheering.

According to The Citizen, police said no shot was fired during the incident.
Two cases of assault have since been opened and investigations are under way.
North West education spokesperson, Elias Malindi, said the department is aware of the incident and is investigating.
