Cape Town – Severe storms and adverse weather conditions have caused significant damage to vehicles at the Sun City holiday resort in the North West province, where uprooted trees fell on cars.
Several videos showing the destruction have circulated on social media, with holidaymakers assessing the damage.

The storms are part of a broader weather warning from the South African Weather Service (SAWS), with disruptive rains and flooding expected to affect multiple provinces, including North West, Gauteng, and KwaZulu-Natal, until Wednesday.

According to The Citizen, quoting SABC, Sun City resort management is clearing the damaged areas, and no injuries or fatalities have been reported.
Meanwhile, drivers on the N3 Toll Route in KwaZulu-Natal are urged to take precautions due to severe weather and heavy traffic.
