Cape Town – Deputy President of the African National Congress (ANC), Paul Mashatile, says his party is currently undergoing a process of renewal and rebuilding, despite facing challenges.
Mashatile, who was representing President Cyril Ramaphosa at a church service at Church On the Hill in Kamagugu outside Mbombela on Sunday said the ANC has constructed itself on a robust foundation, making it impervious to destruction.
He acknowledged the presence of undisciplined members within the ANC whose aim, he said, was to undermine and destabilise the party.
“Our house is still standing 112 years because it’s build on a strong foundation and I said like any family your family members who behave in a particular way and I said other would want to break windows, others would want to kick the doors. But there are those of us who are rebuilding, renewing and this house would never fall,” he said.
