Cape Town – The father of murdered Bokgabo Poo couldn’t hold his emotions when faced with the alleged killer of his daughter at the Benoni Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
The court broke into chaos as Irvin Ndlovu lunged at the 30-year-old suspect accused of the murder of his daughter yelling: “This bastard killed my daughter.”
Police intervened and rushed the suspect to safety while some restrained Ndlovu.
The suspect appeared before the court after he was charged with the kidnapping and murder of the 4-year-old.
Ndlovu said he was not able to control himself at the sight of her suspected killer, reported The Citizen.
“I don’t know what happened at that moment. I just felt agitated, angry and vindictive. He was showing arrogance,” the report quoted Ndlovu as saying.
The report said the accused’s lawyer, Clifford Gilpin withdrew from the case, adding that going forward proceedings will be done on camera.
To protect the suspect, only court officials and police were allowed in the courtroom behind locked doors, the report said.

The little girl from Wattville was reported missing on Monday, October 10. Police were joined by the community in the search for the man who was last seen with Bokgabo.
According to SAPS spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo, the body was reportedly found mutilated.
“On Tuesday, 11 October 2022, a leg of a child was discovered in a shallow grave inside a yard of a house in Tamboville. Later in the afternoon, a mutilated body was discovered a few meters away from the house where the leg was found. At that time, the parents of Bokgabo could not identify the body as that of the missing girl,” Masondo said.
Ntokozo Zikhali who has a pending rape case was arrested in Boksburg North on Friday, October 14, reported News24.
