Cape Town – A number of stalls believed to be owned by South Africans were reportedly set on fire at the Pan Africa Mall in Alexandra on Wednesday night.
The Citizen reported that Johannesburg Emergency Services responded to reports of a fire at the mall around 20:30.
“This evening at around 8:30 pm we responded to a fire incident at the Pan African Mall where a number of stalls were affected by the fire incident.

“Between 6 and 8 stalls were affected by the fire and there were no injuries reported during this fire incident,” the report quoted Johannesburg Emergency Services Robert Mulaudzi as saying.
According to SABC, it was alleged that the stalls were set on fire following an altercation between members of Operation Dudula and illegal foreigners in the area.
