Johannesburg — A video of a man physically and allegedly verbally assaulting a woman has spread on social media, with many users saying the woman instigated the altercation.
The incident took place at a Starbucks in East Gate Mall, Johannesburg. According to social activist Yusuf Abramjee, the attacker said she was sitting for “too long” at the outlet.
In the video, the pair appear to be engaged in a verbal argument, which becomes physical when the woman smacks the man on the side of his head. The man then kicks the woman twice.

Social media users who reacted to the video were divided, with some saying it was the woman’s fault for starting it. Others, however, blamed the man for retaliating or concluded that they were both at fault.
Ay, I don’t condone it, but she drew first blood. When you pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud. pic.twitter.com/Gga1jdVHYu

But she is the one who used her hands first, she is at fault. They should open a case of assault

Don’t start something you won’t finish. This was just an altercation which turned physical. They are both wrong.
