Cape Town – During the Springbok rugby team’s Webb Ellis Cup tour in East London, a woman attempted to kiss the team’s captain, Siya Kolisi, which was caught on a viral video.
Kolisi evaded the kiss, and a police officer intervened to keep the woman away.

She also made a similar attempt with another player, flyhalf Manie Libbok, but was stopped by other fans.
While some criticised Kolisi’s reaction, many believed the woman had gone too far and disrespected the captain.
Some found the incident funny, suggesting it might have been out of excitement.
Despite this, Kolisi continued to entertain thousands of supporters during the tour, with the crowd singing and celebrating.
It is wonderful to see the @Springboks feel the love South Africans have for them, and for communities to see our World Champions. East London, Mdantsane, Duncan Village, celebrate your Bokke heroes #StrongerTogether pic.twitter.com/7VWn5lUqaj
