Cape Town – A gun battle between police and suspects involved in cash-in-transit robberies resulted in the death of four suspects in KwaMashu, north of Durban on Friday morning, police say.
The police had received information about these individuals being linked to a series of cash-in-transit heists in the eThekwini district.
Upon locating a house believed to be a hideout for the suspects, a shootout ensued when the suspects opened fire on the police, KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Brigadier Jay Naicker said.
