Cape Town – International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor has claimed that Israeli intelligence is attempting to intimidate her after South Africa decided to take Israel to the International Court of Justice for genocide.
Pandor expressed concern for her family’s safety due to threatening messages on social media and confirmed increased security provided by Police Minister Bheki Cele.
“This is par for the course. The Israeli agents, the intelligence services, this is how they behave, and they seek to intimidate you, so we must not be intimidated. There is a cause that is under way. The people of the world and of Palestine didn’t draw back when apartheid was at its worst,” she told journalists outside Parliament after President Cyril Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation Address on Thursday.

Despite the personal cost, Pandor asserted that the South African government would proceed with the ICJ case against Israel, describing the intimidation as typical behaviour from Israeli intelligence.
