Cape Town – A standoff between Johannesburg Metro Police and Lenasia South community members turned chaotic on Tuesday as Johannesburg Water removed illegal water connections in Phumlamqashi.
Some residents reportedly threw stones at officers, prompting police to fire rubber bullets.
The situation was eventually brought under control, and no injuries were reported.
