Cape Town — As South Africa heads towards higher stages of loadshedding, a video of Electricity Minister Kgotientso Ramokgopa dancing has left Mzansi angry.
Eskom announced an increase to stage 6 rolling blackouts, as the utility reported breakdowns were at 16 210 MW and planned maintenance was at 5 894 MW following further breakdowns. As such, stage 6 was implemented from 5am on Tuesday morning until further notice.

In light of this, Ramakgopa made a number of South African citizens upset after a video of him was trending and circulating on social media.
The viral video saw Ramokgopa dancing at the ANC’s manifesto review at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto, The South African said.
One X user uploaded the clip and was upset at the fact that Ramokgopa was having such a grand time while the rest of the country suffers in darkness.
“As the lights went off in homes around the country, the minister of electricity was on the dance floor.”

The video caused many to comment that Ramokgopa was not serious about fixing the country’s loadshedding struggles and called him out for his antics.
“Mare i think he shud hav been better suited as minister of Music and Dance,” @BethuelThethane said.
“That’s the master plan to fix loadshedding,” @mike_superb commented.
“Ungathi he’s dancing for stage 6,” @Ms_Dlamin wrote.
