Cape Town – Free State police have launched a manhunt for three suspects in connection with a string of fuel station robberies in Mangaung, Bloemfontein.
CCTV footage of the suspects’ brazen attacks has been circulating on social media.
In one video, two suspects appear to threaten two employees at a fuel station with a firearm before handing them a plastic bag and demanding money from the till.
The two employees appear confused, but the suspects keep showing the firearm and pointing at the till until the shaken employees comply.
The duo was also caught on camera at a Shell station.

The suspects have allegedly been targeting filling stations in and around Bloemfontein, said Free State police spokesperson, Sergeant Mahlomola Kareli.
The latest incident was at a fuel station in Hazyview in the early hours of Tuesday morning police said in a statement.
“The three suspects walk into the convenience store one after the other, with one carrying a bag like normal customers.
“When they see that all other customers have exited the store, they make their way to the cashier, open the bag containing what looks like a firearm, and instruct the cashier to empty the tills and put money in a bag.”
More than three convenience stores have been robbed by the trio, said Kareli
“Filling station employees and owners are also warned to be vigilant of these armed suspects who pose as customers in their shops.”
