Cape Town – An overturned truck was looted by motorists on the N3 near the Mariannhill toll plaza in KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday.
A video of the incident was posted on Twitter, showing motorists rushing out of their vehicles in traffic to make their way to the overturned truck.
“This is a truck that has fallen over and this is the whole highway of people on both sides just stealing stuff from the truck. I’ve never in my life,” says the woman who captured the video.

Motorists and their passengers can be seen walking away with goods in boxes from the truck although it is not clear what the goods are.
The rain and darkness do not seem to deter the looters.
No authorities can be seen in the video and there is no mention of the condition of the truck or the driver of the truck.
However, it appears the truck overturned, and veered off the road before being stuck on the side of the road.
