Cape Town – Police in Johannesburg are reportedly investigating an attempted murder and malicious damage to property case after a shooting at a McDonald’s outlet on Main Reef Road and Hanover Street.
According to Times Live, police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said it was reported that on Monday, two people seated in the restaurant were approached by assailants who brandished a firearm at them.
One of the victims managed to escape, while the other was shot, and a woman patron was also shot.

The suspects fled the scene in a silver Toyota.
Video footage of the incident has been circulating on social media.
McDonald’s South Africa said it is cooperating with the police in the investigation and expressed concern for the people affected by the incident, stating that they are working on improving safety at their restaurant.
