Cape Town – Chatsworth residents were left shocked on Saturday morning after a man was shot and killed during a drive-by shooting at the Bayview shopping complex.
According to IOL, the victim, Seelan Pillay, was the elder brother of a local ANC councilman and member of Parliament – Brandon Pillay.
He was allegedly shot in the back and head multiple times, as he exited a fast-food store with his wife.

“While the victim was walking down the stairs with his wife, a gold vehicle just drove by and rapidly opened fire on him.
“They shot him while he was getting in his vehicle,” the report quoted Claude Subramodey from Amawele emergency services as saying.
