Cape Town – A social media user had a few wildlife lessons to share after a man’s tense encounter with an elephant was captured on video at the Hluhluwe Game reserve in KwaZulu-Natal.
The video was shared on Twitter on Monday and was captioned: “What not to do … No matter how scared you are, running to the bush is never a safe option… You may end up being devoured on by a hungry Lion, Leopard, Hyena, Rhino, buffalo … kuningi nje. This is a musth season for oGatsheni until March.”
In the video, a man jumps out of the passengers side of a white vehicle when the elephant charges towards the vehicle.
A group of people can be heard in the video giving advice to poor man.

“Don’t get out,” one yells, while another says: “There could be a lion.”
The group found the man’s dilemma funny. They laughed as the man ran toward his car and then back to the bushes back and forth in fear.
KZN Ezemvelo spokesperson Musa Mntambo confirmed the incident happened on a road between the Hilltop and Mpila sections of the reserve, reported TimesLIVE.
“I can confirm the incident occurred on a road inside the park. We caution people against getting out of their vehicles, no matter how tense the situation. If you find yourself in such a situation, do not jump out the car or venture into the bush. You could face far worse animals, such as a lion,” the report quoted Mntambo as saying.
During the captured incident, no one was injured, the report said.
