Cape Town – Nhlanhla Lux Dlamini, the leader of an anti-migrant protest movement, Operation Dudula, has accused the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema of being “jealous” of the progress made by his movement.
Dlamini said this to the media on Thursday evening outside the Johannesburg Central Prison, just before he was detained.
He maintained that Operationb Dudula was within the boundaries of the law.
“Julius is actually jealous of our relationship with the police, that’s why he is encouraging for the police to arrest us instead of working with us. That’s why teres a narrative that says that ‘even the president is against you’ when the president is not against you. the president invited us as Madudula and civic movements to work together with him but ey hate our progress because our progress is within the boundaries of the law,” said Dlamini.

According to Times Live, Dlamini was arrested on Thursday evening shortly after leaving the Kaya FM studios where he had been interviewed.
His arrest came after a case was opened against him and members of the movement by Soweto resident Victor Ramerafe, 59, whose home was allegedly ransacked on Sunday.
The members demanded that Ramerafe bring out drugs on the premises, according to IOL.

“They did not have a search warrant, they searched and left my house in a messy condition, I have lost my R300 and a small Nokia cellphone. I do not sell drugs,” said Ramerafe in a video.
Learning about the incident, The EFF backed Ramerafe in laying assault and theft charges against Dlamini. They accompanied him to the police station on Wednesday.
The EFF further gave the police seven days to arrest Dlamini.
Dlamini is expected to appear in court on Friday on charges of assault and theft.
