Cape Town – Six armed men reportedly stormed a church in the Johannesburg CBD on Saturday and robbed members of the congregation of their wallets, phones and other valuables.
According to crime activist Yusuf Abramjee, the incident occurred while the pastor was preaching.
A video that has since gone viral on social media shows the pastor hiding behind the pupilt and the gunmen can be heard cocking the gun.
“No arrests have been made yet,” Abramjee said.

According to Times Live, church elders said a counselling service would be held on Sunday for its congregants.
“The church would like to take this opportunity to assure you that this too will pass. Nothing lasts forever.
“As leaders, we are praying for the church to unite in times like these, supporting each other both moral[ly] and practical[ly],” the report quoted the elders as saying.
