Cape Town – Passengers on board a Golden Arrow bus were robbed of their belongings on Friday on Spine Road in Khayelitsha.
A video of the incident circulated on social media and left Mzansi shocked.
In the video, one of the robbers with a mask covering half of his face, instructs passengers to give over their belongings.
The suspect then collects the cellphones from passengers before getting off the bus.
According to Western Cape police spokesperson Joseph Swartbooi, the bus came to a stop near an Engen garage when armed men climbed board, reported News24

“The men threatened the driver, whilst the others robbed the passengers of their valuables. The suspects fled with cash they took from the driver,” Swartbooi was quoted as saying.
The report said Golden Arrow Bus Services were “very shocked to hear that the footage had been placed on social media”.
Police were investigating a case of robbery with a firearm.
