Cape Town – A fire broke out at the Department of Correctional Services head office, located in the Poyntons Building’s West Wing Block in Tshwane.
The incident occurred on a Sunday evening, affecting the sixth floor.
Emergency services responded promptly, extinguishing the fire without injuries reported.
“The City of Tshwane Emergency Services responded promptly, and the fire has since been fully extinguished.

“An investigation will be launched to establish the cause of the fire.
“DCS can confirm that no injuries were reported, and all personnel present in the building have been safely accounted for,” the department said in a statement.
