Cape Town – A man, who is reportedly an employee of the eThekwini Municipality, has been arrested and is facing an internal investigation after he was caught on camera driving a municipal van inside the Galleria Mall in Amanzimtoti, south of Durban.
According to IOL, the incident took place on Wednesday.
Relevant authorities, as well as the municipality, were contacted by the mall management to deal with the matter.

According to The Citizen, the man was allegedly drunk.
After exiting the mall, he was arrested and the vehicle was impounded.

“The municipality is conducting an internal investigation. Should the internal investigation reveal possible misconduct, disciplinary steps will ensue,” the report quoted the eThekwini municipality as saying.
