Cape Town – A drunken police officer involved in a head-on collision with a Volkswagen was heavily criticised for driving under the influence of alcohol.
In a recording taken by onlookers and uploaded to social media, the officer seemed to be very drunk, unable to stand up properly and walk straight after he stumbled out of the damaged police vehicle.
Community members were audibly outraged by the crash caused by an officer of the law who drove under the influence. The video further captured the officer attempting to get back into the police vehicle to drive away after the crash.
Throughout the video, the policeman seemed to be too drunk to say anything in his defence, stumbling around the area of the crash as though his legs were jelly.
