Cape Town – South Africans have expressed anger and shock after a Checkers Sixty60 driver was held at gunpoint and robbed of groceries in an incident captured on video.
The footage shows the driver waiting to deliver groceries when two men approach, one brandishing a gun, and proceed to rob him.
They take his phone and most of the groceries, while another suspect later takes the remaining items.

Social media reactions express concerns about the safety of the driver’s job, as well as worries about his life and mental state due to the traumatic experience.
I use checkers 60 all the time, and when the driver comes to my gate I open for him to park inside and close gate…it always seems to be the same driver….and then he leaves safely straight into the road….love their service
