Cape Town – A video in which a newly-built footbridge collapsed during its official opening in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), has gone viral on social media.
It remained unclear when the incident occurred.
The footbridge was meant to help people cross a river during the rainy season, as the old makeshift bridge would often become submerged during flooding, reported IOL.
In the clip, the bridge could be seen collapsing immediately after officials cut the ribbon and it broke into two.
