Cape Town – A MyCiTi bus reportedly crashed into two parked vehicles and the front of the award-winning Truth Coffee Roasting coffee bar in Buitenkant Street in Cape Town’s CBD on Monday, causing injuries to several people.
According to News24, the owner of the coffee bar David Donde said that the bus driver claimed a rock was thrown at the bus, causing the accident.
However, the official cause of the crash has not been determined yet.

The bus allegedly came under attack and swerved into the coffee shop just before 7 pm, EWN quoted Donde as saying.
Donde said that the bus seemed to be coming down Buitenkant Street at speed.
The coffee bar’s front door was destroyed, and a newly built parklet was also damaged.
“He went through our brand new parklet… and straight into our front door,” said Donde.
The exact number of injured individuals remained unclear, with conflicting reports from the police and a mayoral committee member.
