Cape Town – A man received a brutal beating from security personnel after he allegedly stole peanut butter jars at an unknown supermarket.
In the 27-seconds video of the incident, a security guard can be seen taking peanut butter jars from the alleged thief, who can be heard pleading for forgiveness.
He even asks the security personnel to call his workplace to collaborate on his ability to pay.

The alleged thief repeatedly cries “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I’ll pay, I’ll pay”, but this does not deter the assaulting security guard, as he continues to lash him with a baton.
Social media users have reacted to the incident and slammed the security guard for the assault while some thought both the alleged peanut butter thief and the security guard should be arrested.
The South African reported that the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authourity has identified the security company that the guards work for and an investigation will be done.
Former Economic Freedom Fighters’ General Secretary and attorney, Godrich Gardee, said the company that employed the implicated security guards could be held liable for the pain inflicted on the victim and they (the two men) could be criminally charged, the report said.
