Cape Town – Limpopo Premier Phophi Ramathuba has confirmed the arrest of a 27-year-old man in connection with the kidnapping and rape of two nurses at Ga-Chuene Clinic in Lebowakgomo on 10 January.
The suspect, who was released on parole in November, reportedly overpowered three security guards, tied them up, and abducted the two nurses during their night shift.
He then sexually assaulted the women in a nearby bush.
Ramathuba said that the suspect is not a first-time offender and indicated that further arrests are expected.
