Cape Town – A video showing a woman stealing from a service station shop, while a man pretends to be looking at items on the shelf has gone viral on social media.
In the CCTV footage, the couple pretends to be customers.
The woman is seen loading the pockets of her pants with items while the man stands next to her, pretending to be looking at items.
Moments later, they are seen casually walking out.

Times Live reports that police in Durban have since launched a search for the couple, adding that the two have been spotted driving a black Opel Corsa.
‘It is alleged by the complainant that on July 10 2022 at 16:05, he noticed a certain shelf at his workplace was empty. He went to view the CCTV footage and saw a male and a female stealing goods from the shelf,” the report quoted police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Nqobile Gwala as saying.
A case of theft has since been opened.
