Cape Town – In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, a heinous shooting spree unfolded on Sunday night in the Uganda informal settlement in Umlazi, leaving five people dead and another critically injured.
The police in KwaZulu-Natal have launched a manhunt for the assailants responsible for this gruesome attack.
Upon receiving distress calls, law enforcement swiftly responded to the scenes of the crimes, where they discovered a trail of bloodshed across three different houses.
“When police arrived at the first house, the bodies of a 32-year-old man and a woman who was yet to be identified and believed to be in her early 30s were found with multiple gunshot wounds and were certified dead at the scene.

“At the second house, police found two bodies of women aged 30 and 38 years old, as well as a body of a 24-year-old man.
“All three bodies had multiple gunshot wounds and were also pronounced dead. A 32-year-old man was also shot at his house but survived the shooting with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital for immediate medical treatment,” police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said.
The motive behind these ruthless attacks remains elusive, as authorities work to piece together the circumstances leading to the bloodshed.
