Cape Town – Two Mpumalanga teenagers and a Western Cape diver died in separate drowning incidents, says National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI).
The teenagers aged 16 and 18 allegedly went missing while swimming near the Douglas Dam on Thursday, said NSRI in a statement.
According to NSRI, the police dive unit and NSRI Witbank located and discovered the two bodies following their search at about 17:00.

In a separate incident in Yzerfontein, NSRI was alerted of a missing diver near Yzerfontein’s Schaapen Island at about 18:00.
During the search, the diver in his 60s from Melkbosstrand was found by his dive partner on the shoreline.
The police have since opened inquest dockets for both incidents.
