Cape Town — Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) revealed that two people died at its airports this weekend, one at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and another at King Shaka International Airport in Durban.
ACSA revealed that the passenger at OR Tambo International Airport had fallen from parking level 5 to the ground level around 3pm on Saturday.
ACSA spokesperson, Ernest Mulibana, said law enforcement and health officials were immediately alerted to the incident. Still, when they arrived on the scene, the passenger was declared dead immediately, IOL reported.

In the incident at King Shaka International Airport, Mulibana said an unidentified male passenger had collapsed and died. The incident took place at the domestic arrival terminal area. When emergency services arrived and attended to him, he was also declared dead on the scene.
According to The Citizen, Mulibana said the cause of each death remains unknown but the matter is now under investigation by the South African Police Services.
” We can confirm that the matter has been handed over to the South African Police Service (SAPS) and that an inquest docket has been opened for further investigations,” Mulibana said/
