Cape Town – Two nurses in Limpopo were kidnapped, assaulted, and raped during a violent attack at Chuene Clinic in Polokwane.
The incident occurred at 1 a.m. when a heavily armed man overpowered security guards, abducted the nurses, and held them for several hours before they reappeared at 5 a.m.
Limpopo Health MEC Dieketseng Mashego condemned the attack, calling it a setback for 24-hour clinic services and urging the community to assist the police in apprehending the perpetrator.

“My heart goes out to the two nurses who have suffered immense physical and psychological trauma.
“How can we convince our staff to work night shifts to serve the community if the same community turns against them in such a violent manner?,” The Citizen quoted Mashengo as saying.
Psychological support has been arranged for the victims.
