Joshlin’s father, Jose Emke, suspects his daughter’s disappearance may have something to do with her mother’s “drug debts”. Both Smith and Appolis admitted to doing Crystal Meth (Tik) but say they have been clean for weeks now.
According to Western Cape Police Commissioner Thembisile Patekile said the questioning of people began since the start of the frantic search, EWN reported.
“The questioning will lead us now to where, whatever leads that we find, we’ll follow those leads, even the fact that there are people alleging that this child was sold, that we will follow.”
According to IOL, The case has been handed over to the Western Cape detectives division to investigate as the case has become high-profile and reached international attention.
Earlier reports revealed three suspects were taken into custody, with Smith and Appolis among them.
