Cape Town – Two men, both aged 27, have been reportedly been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of Megan Griesel in Mpumalanga.
The first suspect was apprehended in Masoyi, while the second was arrested in Kanyamazane.
The second suspect was found in possession of a firearm with ammunition during his arrest, police said.
The identities of the suspects have been withheld due to the sensitivity of the case.
“Due to the sensitivity and delicacy of this case, the identities of the suspects are withheld to prevent a situation which may jeopardise the investigation,” News24 quoted police spokesperson Colonel Donald Mdhluli as saying.
Griesel, 20, was killed during a robbery at a petrol station in Lydenburg, and CCTV footage showed armed men involved in the incident.

The suspects are also believed to have committed other crimes, including theft of cash, cigarettes, and beverages.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are working to arrest any remaining suspects.
