Cape Town — Three former State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) CEOs were among eight uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) people sworn in as Members of Parliament (MPs) on Wednesday.
Parliament’s National Assembly speaker, Thoko Didiza, swore in eight MK members, as well as two Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) MPs.
The newly sworn-in MPs include former Transnet CEO Siyabonga Gama, former Eskom CEO Brian Molefe, and former PRASA CEO Lucky Montana.
They will be joined in the party by Thembisile Siboniso Mjadu, Nompumelelo Matilda Gasa, Gezani Eric Kobane and Thulani Innocent Gamede, TimesLIVE reported.

Their induction follows weeks of internal turmoil within the party to replace MPs elected in May. The MK Party has pushed for loyalists of Jacob Zuma, including Molefe, Montana, and Gama, all linked to the Zondo Commission, to take up seats, citing their public service expertise, according to EWN.
Meanwhile, the two EFF members who were sworn in included Sinawo Thambo, who replaced former EFF deputy, Floyd Shivambu, while Nazier Paulsen also joined the party, replacing Mzwanele Manyi.
