Cape Town – Mangaung Metro Tactical Response Team arrested three people after they were found in possession of boxes of alleged antiretroviral (ARVs) medication at the Bloemfontein shopping centre.
The three men aged 28, 43 and 52, were arrested at a mall in Kenneth Kaunda Road on Wednesday after police received a tip-off, the police said.
The different brands of ARVs are valued at R85 000 said police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Thabo Covane in a statement.

“Members pounced on the suspects at about 09:15. A silver bakkie with three men was searched in the mall parking area, and boxes full of antiretroviral medications were found,” Covane said.
According to a preliminary investigation, the medicines were stolen during a break-in at a clinic in Boshof.
The three suspects will appear in the Bloemfontein magistrate’s court soon.
