Cape Town – A 38-year-old suspect has been arrested by Western Cape police for the murder of Dr Natheem Jacobs, a veterinarian at the Grassy Park Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
Jacobs, 27, was stabbed at his home in Athlone on 2 March and succumbed to his injuries despite receiving medical assistance.
According to News24, police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk confirmed that the suspect had been apprehended in connection with the murder.
“The suspect will appear in court on Wednesday,” the report quoted Van Wyk as saying.

Jacobs was described as a talented and compassionate veterinarian who treated everyone with kindness.
