Cape Town – A dog stolen from its home in Strand, Cape Town, has reportedly been reunited with its family after being found tied to a pole on 8th Street, Strand on Wednesday.
A video of the man stealing the dog from its home went viral on social media.
In the video, an adult male can be seen brazenly lifting a dog over a wall from inside a residence in Strand. He walks to the corner of the street before returning to carry the dog away on his shoulders.

According to IOL, law enforcement officers received information earlier this week about a dog fitting the description of the dog in the video.
“The officers responded and found the dog tied to a pole at a property in 8th street. The suspect was not there.

“According to residents, the dog was sold to a man from Nomzamo who was yet to collect it,” Law Enforcement spokesperson, Wayne Dyason said as quoted by the report.
The residents gave the officers the name of the alleged “dognapper”.
The suspect will be arrested as soon as the owners lay charges against him.
