The Department of Social Development issued a statement confirming the news.
“The Minister of Social Development, Ms Lindiwe Zulu received the results of her Covid-19 test this morning, which were confirmed positive.”

Zulu first suspected she had Covid-19 when she had a scratchy throat.
“It all started with a scratchy throat and I didn’t suspect anything, but when it persisted, I took the Covid-19 test yesterday and received the results this morning. I am feeling well and I can attribute this to the fact that the virus found me fully vaccinated”, said Zulu.
She urged all South Africans to adhere to the Covid-19 regulations as stipulated by the government.
