Cape Town – A 6-year-old boy has reportedly died after falling from the 11th floor of a South African Police Service (SAPS) residential flat in Algoa Park on Wednesday in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.
According to IOL, Liabona Plaatjies fell from a bedroom window on the 11th floor.
Ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

“When medics arrived on scene they assessed the child who was lying in a pool of blood and found that he showed no signs of life and was sadly declared deceased on the scene,” the report quoted spokesperson for Netcare 911 paramedics, Shawn Herbst as saying.
The circumstances surrounding the boy’s death were yet to be determined, according to The South African.
The police have since launched an investigation into the incident.
