Cape Town- Pupils from MC Weiler Primary School in Alexandra, Gauteng reportedly discovered a human skeleton underneath a mobile classroom within the school premises on Thursday.
According to News24, the pupils made the discovery during school break when they allegedly went underneath the classroom to fetch their soccer ball.
The pupils informed their educators and the police were summoned to the scene.
The school was let out early to allow the police to conduct necessary investigations.

“Police officials inspected the scene and the learners’ discovery was confirmed to be a human skeleton. The body was then removed from the scene and police indicated that an inquest case will be investigated accordingly,” The Citizen quoted Gauteng Department of Education spokesperson Steve Mabona as saying.
The provincial education department said that a psychosocial unit was dispatched to the school to give support to the pupils and staff.
“While we await further reports from the police regarding this matter, learning at the school will continue with necessary psycho-social support,” said Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi as quoted by the report.
