The South African reported that the son had survived the incident.
According to the report, Kuilsriver community activist, Dawn Roode, said that the son managed to escape the scene.
“[The son] will need all our prayers and support. He survived the family tragedy because he got away from the scene where his father killed his mom and sister and then his father committed suicide,” Roode said.
The man of the house allegedly had a drinking problem which caused him to display violent tendencies towards his wife and children, IOL reported.
