Cape Town – Abahlali baseMjondolo (AbM), a shack dwellers movement, has declared its support for the EFF in the upcoming May 29 general elections.
The announcement came during their rally, “Unfreedom Day”, in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday.
AbM maintained that it was not a political party and would remain so, The Citizen reported.
AbM president S’bu Zikode said the civic movement was steadfast and unapologetic in its position against individuals who misused public funds.
Zikode said that the movement’s decision to support the EFF was not permanent and could be revoked.
