Cape Town – Deputy President Paul Mashatile has reportedly said that from next month he will travel across the country to address issues of service delivery.
Mashatile said this on Friday when he joined thousands of congregants from the Grace Bible Church who gathered at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto.
“Together we must resolve the challenges of social divisions, economic inequality, poverty and exclusion,” he said.
Together we must resolve the challenges of social divisions, economic inequality, poverty and exclusion. We are proud of your achievements and are looking forward to you celebrating 100 years.
I wish you all a blessed Easter.#ANCinChurch #ANCEaster

According to SABC, Mashatile said he will visit all the provinces to spread hope in the face of service delivery challenges.
“We have to deal with despair as I go out to the provinces.
“It will be the time to give our people hope that tomorrow will be better than yesterday. Our people need hope that things will get better as they face the problem of unemployment, housing, gender based violence all the challenges that they’re facing from potholes.
“We will go out and work with them to give them hope to solve the problems with them. That’s why the President said, go out and intervene, the Bishop didn’t say go and analyse. We know the problems that our people are having. He says go and intervene because he wants us to go and solve the problems of our people,” Jacaranda FM quoted Mashatile as saying.

According to Times Live Mashatile added: “The political movement I belong to, and in whose service I have dedicated my entire life, the ANC, was founded and preserved by pious men and women, patriots who sacrificed so much and pursued justice not only as a political imperative, but as a central article of their faith. The ANC may be a secular political organisation, but it has always been one founded upon the progressive teachings of the faith.
“Freedom, tolerance, equality, justice, service to the people, and indeed ‘a better life for all’, all of these political goals, are religious, spiritual, and moral imperatives.”
