Cape Town – A Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) officer Tebogo Mailula saved the lives of two little girls aged 2 and 5 over the weekend after they were trapped on a ledge on the 3rd floor of a Johannesburg building situated at the corner of End and Lilian Ngoyi Streets.
The girls’ mother had left them sleeping in the flat while she went to the butchery.
“Officers discovered that the mother had left the girls sleeping inside the flat, to go to a butcher. It’s alleged that when the girls woke up, they realised that they were alone & climbed out of an open window,” JMPD said.
