Cape Town – A Gauteng mom, Caro Matau, has fulfilled her promise to her 13-year-old son and bought him a brand-new car so that he can learn to drive around their estate.
Matau took to Facebook to post a picture of her teenager standing next to his brand new red KIA at a car dealership.
“It was 2 years ago that I made a promise to my 1st child son, the Deputy Parent, the 1st cut is the deepest. I promised him that when he turns 13 years old, I’ll start to teach him how to drive a car. Today he is turning 13 years old. I then realized that he cant learn driving with my big, auto car. He needs a manual car to learn. And he will learn driving in our estate until such time when the law allow him to get the right documents and drive in the streets,” Matau captioned the Facebook post.
According to IOL, this comes after Mzansi has been left in awe by parents who have been buying luxurious cars for their children.
The country was recently taken aback by two social media posts that were shared, showing two teenagers who were gifted luxury BMWs worth more than R800 000 each for passing matric.
