Cape Town – A seventh person has died following a gang shooting in Bishop Lavis, Cape Town on Thursday night.
Six people between the ages of 24 and 55 – four men and two women – died at the scene in Kogelberg Street on Thursday night. The shooting came just one day after five people were shot dead in a suspected gang attack in Atlantis, EWN reported.
IOL reported that the seventh person, a 27-year-old women who was injured in the shooting, died in hospital on Friday
Another survivor is still being treated in hospital.

Western Cape police spokesperson Andre Traut said: ’Western Cape police have reinforced deployments in the Bishop Lavis area following an incident where four men and two women were shot and killed on Thursday evening. Two other persons were wounded during the shooting incident. No arrests have been affected as yet.’
The police’s Anti-Gang Unit is investigating both murders, reports eNCA.
In Wednesday’s shooting five people between the ages of 18 and 30 died in the gang attack while five more were wounded.
