Cape Town – A 65-year-old South African woman visiting Israel to be with her daughter after childbirth, was one of two South Africans killed in a Hamas attack on Israel.
According to Times Live, the woman’s name was Marcelle Talia.
Another person killed was Sa’ar Margolis, the report said.

Earlier, the South African government confirmed the deaths.
“The Department of International Relations and Cooperation can confirm that we have been notified that two South African nationals have died in this ongoing conflict between Palestine and Israel. The verification process is currently underway because one of the individuals is reported to have an Israeli ID number, so we need to determine whether there is dual citizenship or what the picture is,” Dirco spokesperson, Clayson Monyela said.
Dirco also extended heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the two South African nationals.
