Cape Town – A North West businessman, Jabulani Ben Gumbi, was fatally shot in front of customers and staff at a coffee shop in Rustenburg.
The incident, which occurred around 8am, was captured on CCTV.
Gumbi was attacked by two assailants and shot multiple times before collapsing.
The police confirmed the shooting and are conducting an investigation.
According to Times Live, Gumbi’s family revealed that he had received death threats due to a land development dispute earlier in the month.
A video was shared in which Gumbi addressed these threats, warning those involved to be cautious and emphasising that they could face consequences.
