Cape Town — The Roads Agency Limpopo (RAL) placed its CEO, Gabriel Maluleke, on precautionary suspension following preliminary assessments.
In a statement, the RAL said the suspension was implemented to ensure that further investigations were conducted smoothly. The RAL is currently under the management of an Accounting Authority, Mr Moses Tseli.
The process of appointing a new Board of Directors is now underway and was implemented to maintain oversight and address the challenges currently facing the Agency.
“Mr Tseli appointed Mr Makhitha Chesane, who is attached to the Stakeholder Management function of the Agency, as the Acting Chief Executive Officer,” the RAL said.
“Mr Tseli assures the people of Limpopo of his commitment to business continuity at RAL. He is confident that the Agency will return to delivering its vital mandate of connecting the people and economy of the province, optimally,” it added.
